Kisii leaders allied to Jubilee Party have asked residents to support President Uhuru Kenyatta re-election as NASA has nothing to offer.
They said the National Super Alliance, made up of Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetang'ula and Kalonzo Musyoka, 'is only good at criticism'.
"They criticise Uhuru's administration even when it had done positive things," Senator Chris Obure said on Monday.
Obure told religious leaders at a hotel in Kisii that Uhuru and DP William Ruto are the best bet for Kenya.
"They deserve a second chance based on their track record," he said.
The Senator was elected on an ODM ticket in 2013 but last year.
Obure urged the religious leaders to support him in his bid for Kisii Governor; he accused Ongwae of failing to account for billions of shillings disbursed to the county.
"Support me in changing the leadership of this county because the current one has failed," said the Senator.
He added that they should pray for peace
to prevail during the August 8 general election.

Other leaders from the county who attended the meeting included former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae and Nominated Senator Hosea Ochawang’i.
MPs Joel Onyancha (Bomachoge Borabu), Simon Ogari (Bomachoge Chache),
Richard Tong’i (Nyaribari Chache), Zebedeo Opore (Bonchari), and woman representative Mary Otara were also present.
Nyachae, who is vying for the Kisii Senator seat, said it will be hard for the Opposition to win the election the President has the numbers.
"We are determined to win the relay but we cannot do so without your support," he told the clergy.
Tong'i, Onyancha, Opore and Ogari said that they cannot afford to be left out of government.
Vincent Mogaka, who delivered a message of behalf of the church leaders, urged Obure to eliminate clan politics when he takes office.
Mogaka also urged the Senator to appoint religious leaders to various positions in the county.
