Former IG David Kimaiyo will unveil his manifesto and political party on Saturday as he prepares to contest for Elgeyo Marakwet senate seat.

The weekend launch set to take place in Iten sets the stage for a grand political duel between Kimaiyo and incumbent Kipchumba Murkomen – a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.

In October last year, Murkomen vowed to teach the former police chief a ‘political lesson’ during the August polls.

Kimaiyo who has been holding a series of meetings with locals, grassroot leaders and elders since mid last year said he will present his agenda to residents and end speculations on the political party he will use vie for the seat in the general elections.
