Jubilee's reelection is in jeopardy owing to their poor development record and corruption, the Party of National Unity (PNU) said on Friday.

Vice chairman Sheikh Juma Ngao said Kenyans need to 'seriously punish' the current Administration in the August 8 poll.

He said Jubilee has failed miserably and cannot pinpoint a single project it has initiated since being elected four years ago.

However, President Uhuru Kenyatta on many occasions said that his administration has made great milestones on matters development.

"All the projects it (Jubilee) is handling at the moment were started by PNU under Mwai Kibaki’s presidency," Ngao said.

"Up to now, we do not see any new project that Jubilee has initiated," he said on Friday.

"They took up Standard Gauge Railway, Dongo Kundu Bypass, roads, water projects after Kibaki initiated them," he claimed.

The PNU official accused the Jubilee team of brewing grand corruption and mismanagement of the country's resources.

"The only new project that I can think of under Jubilee is corruption in the ministries," Ngao said.

He said that the situation has been worsened by the fact that all those responsible for graft in the ministries are walking freely.

"It is unfortunate that some of the suspects named in graft cases are running for elective positions," the political activist said.

Ngao said Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto have betrayed the country by taking it to the dogs.

"They have allowed their cabinet secretaries to mishandle issues considering the way they have handled the doctors' strike," he said.

"The misplaced priorities are getting into the nerves of Kenyans who may punish them at the ballot on August 8," Ngao added.

The politician revisited the defeat of Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed in the African Union Commission chair bid.

He said it was needless that billions of taxpayers monies were spent in campaigns for Amina in vain.

Amina was beaten by Chad’s Moussa Mahamat; the government later denied spending Sh3 billion to campaign for the CS.

He urged the government to take Kenyans' needs for better education, health, food and security seriously.

"The money would have gone a long way in alleviating the effects of drought that has rendered more than 3 million Kenyans without food," Ngao said.
