Two men appeared before a Nakuru court to face charges of illegally procuring and being in possession of election materials.

Victor Oduor and George Kirwa were charged with being in possession of 17 Form D's used for transfer of voters.

The court was told that the duo had the documents without the authority of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

They were further accused of being in possession of 17 copies of national identity cards.

The two were arrested on February 2 at Heshima Estate, Bahati sub-county during a crackdown by IEBC officers.

They pleaded not guilty and were released on a bond of Sh 200 000 each and a surety of similar amount.

The case will be mentioned on February 20 when further directions of the trial shall be given.
