Two more companies have come under the scrutiny of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission investigators following their transactions with the NYS.

EACC detectives want to establish if Jumbo Commodities Ltd and OM Millers Ltd had any role in the National Youth Service scandal in which taxpayers’ lost millions of shillings.

A source at the EACC said they are investigating the relationship between the two companies, that seem to have had tenders at the NYS with influence from the Ministry of Devolution’s administrative director office.

“The two companies have raised concerns because they seem to be operated by the same people, yet they bid for tenders as separate companies,” the source, who did not want to be identified because the investigations are still at an early stage, said.

The EACC detectives want to know how a personal phone number belonging to one of the OM Millers Ltd directors is the same one used as the contact telephone for Jumbo Commodities Ltd.
