Onyango Oloo decamped from Jubilee Party after realising he could not handle the secretary general post, Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri has said.

Oloo, who held the post in TNA, ditched President Uhuru Kenyatta's coalition saying he was sidelined and that they were conned into the merger.

Kiunjuri said he

should explain what he achieved in TNA party,

which President Uhuru Kenyatta used to seek election in 2013.

Oloo played a key role in Uhuru's presidential campaign in 2013, but former minister Raphael Tuju is the one now charged with managing

Jubilee Party Secretariat.

"Oloo was employed by the President. He should first tell the country what he delivered while in TNA," the CS said on Wednesday.

"If

I give you 10 goats and you bring back fewer, then I have the mandate to get a more qualified person."

Kiunjuri further noted that many allegations have been raised against Oloo.

"He could have resorted to switching camps so that when he is prosecuted he will resort to the tribal tag of defending himself," he said.

But Oloo said

he did not think any of the parties that merged into JP will ever take part in any activities.

“JAP is in office. TNA is dead. UDF is dead... Other parties are dead. People like Kalembe Ndile are crying... The answer is that we were conned," he said.

"It is unfortunate. Everybody who worked on the ideology has been set aside. We will bear the consequences but are ready to continue [fighting] for our ideologies."

Oloo said several other politicians were willing to leave Jubilee to join ODM. He said they were looking for a "home" mindful of their ideologies.
