Entrepreneur hosts researchers in Mwea as they study rice varieties

A team of 18 agriculture experts are in Kenya for three days to conduct a research on improving the rice varieties grown in Mwea to advise on enhancement of food security.

The researchers are being hosted by entrepreneur Charles Njiru at the Mwea Nice City. Their research on new varieties will help curb shortages and improve food security.

International Research Institute scientist Abdelbagi Ismail said the new variety will increase accessibility of rice grown in Kenya to international markets.
