The bodies of two brothers who went missing on Sunday afternoon after going for a swim near Kilifi Club were found on Tuesday near Kilifi’s old ferry.
Keah Panuel, 11, and Essau Panuel, 9, went missing on Sunday, when they were looking for prawns at the shores.
Their bodies were retrieved by the Kilifi County Sea Rescue Team, led by Captain Issa Shallo and Caleb Otieno.

“We retrieved the two bodies clung to each other. It seems the older boy was trying to pull his younger brother, who had been trapped,” Otieno said.
Distraught parents Caroline Mjomba and Panuel Keah were too shocked to speak to journalists. The boys’ father almost collapsed at the sight of the bodies.
