ODM has maintained that it will not relent on the

‘clean up’ of its 'troops' ahead of the crucial 2017 general election.

Treasurer Timothy Bosire warned rebels that they will be swept aside in internal reorganisation as the party seeks to put its house in order and steady its shi.

Bosire said on Tuesday that the party will soon crack the whip on more errant members, ahead of the August 8 election.

"ODM is committed to taking over the leadership of this country, hence the reorganisation to ensure only committed soldiers remain,” he said at Parliament Buildings.

“People with divided loyalty cannot be trusted to walk this path to protect the people’s faith, hence the cleanup."

The Kitutu Masaba MP urged the Registrar of Political Parties to quickly notify the national and county assembly speakers of their decision to deregister 10 rebels.

Once this is done, their seats will be declared vacant and by-elections ordered.

Bosire criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto's Jubilee Party saying it has failed in every sector.

“We cannot allow a few selfish members to derail our course to take over power to revamp the economy,” he said.

Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya, Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and Viwandani MCA Sam Nyang'wara were among those expelled from ODM.

Others were MPs

Stephen Kariuki (Mathare), Isaac Mwaura (Nominated), Samwel Arama (Nakuru West), Ababu Namwamba (Budalang’i), Masoud Mwahima (Likoni), John Waluke (Sirisia) and Kwale woman representative Zainab Chidzuga.
