It’s a reprieve for MP and MCA hopefuls at next year’s polls as the requirement for one to hold a degree or diploma has been pushed to 2022.

Addressing the press in Garissa town on Monday, National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale (pictured) said the legal affairs committee has not finalized the Election Amendment Bill, which has the proposal.

He said they will introduce a transitional clause that will see it take effect in 2022.
