Kaluma denies assaulting political opponent Ogaga

Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has been charged in a Homa Bay court with assaulting his political opponent.

He was accused of assaulting and injuring Washington Ogaga last Sunday during a rally in Homa Bay Stadium.

The complainant is the state.

Kaluma denied the charges before senior resident magistrate Paul Mayova.

Kaluma’s lawyer Samuel Nyauke urged the court to grant him affordable bail.

The case will be heard on January 23 and 24.
