Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna has rejected a lawsuit reportedly filed by his rival Esther Passaris over a message he wrote on Twitter.

Miguna, who is a lawyer, said Passaris has not served him a suit conerning the tweet that she earlier said was defamatory and malicious.

The tweet read: “Kenyans in their millions should watch @KoinangeJeff Live on KTN on November 16 at 10PM as I expose thieves and drug dealers.”

Next to these words was a picture of Miguna and below it the words VS THE CARTELS.

Passaris said next to the words “THE CARTELS” were images of some of the people who have expressed their interest in the Nairobi governor seat, including her.

More on this:

Below is Miguna's full response:

  1. I'm in Toronto Canada; not in Kenya. I've been here since November 25, 2016.
  2. I have not been served with any lawsuit by Esther Passaris; nor was I duly served with a Libel Notice as prescribed by law.
  3. I have not been served with any order by the High Court of Kenya that you purportedly make reference to. Please forward a true valid copy of any such orders in the event that you have a copy or copies.
  4. Finally, I have never made a defamatory statement about Passaris. All my statements about her are TRUE and cannot therefore be deemed defamatory.
  5. Esther Passaris holds no degree from a recognized university and therefore she does not qualify to vie for the office of governor in the Nairobi City County. Accordingly, she is not my "opponent."
  6. In view of the foregoing, any orders sought or obtained under the circumstances are of no consequence until or unless Passaris and her advocate(s) comply with the provisions of the law
  7. I will continue to make TRUE STATEMENTS concerning corruption, misfeasance in public office, mediocrity and other ills inflicted on Kenya by purported leaders.

Miguna and Passaris first clashed on KTN's

Jeff Koinange Live Show. Miguna dismissed a clip of their exchange saying it had been edited.
