Turbo MP Elisha Busienei's bodyguard died on Sunday after a maize sheller he was using crushed him.
The police officer was reported to have been preparing maize at his farm in Leseru village, Uasin Gishu county at the time of the accident.
Police reports stated that he was shelling maize using a tractor mounted sheller which snapped his loose jacket and drove him into the machine's shaft.
"Constable Joseph Kiptuiya's loose jacket was caught by the sheller shaft. He died instantly," police said.
"The scene was photographed, body moved to a mortuary awaiting postmortem and further investigations," the report states.
"A ceska pistol loaded with 15 bullets was recovered," police said on Monday.
