Police spokesman Charles Owino is among 212 senior officers who have been promoted from the rank of senior superintendent to commissioner.
The officers include 83 from Kenya police Service, another 83 from the Administration Police unit and 46 from the Criminal Investigations Division.
This signals pending changes in the command of police officers at county level.
Among those promoted are Naomi
Ichami,
Mary Omari, Rosemary Kuraru, Bernard Nyakwaka, Tom Odera, Richard Kerich, Patrick Tito, James Tito and Shem Nyamboki.
Others are Samuel Mukinda, Jecinta Odhiambo, Samson Kine, Kipkemboy Rop, Agnes Okanga and Titus Yoma have also been promoted.
