A 26 year-old man has been charged with defiling an 8 year-old boy more than 20 times in Kayole.

James Mwangi, a milk vendor, was accused that between August 3 and October 2016 at Matopeni, he unlawfully defiled the minor.

He faces an alternative charge of indecently touching the minor without his consent.

According to the prosecution, the suspect who runs a milk shop used to lure the boy with money before defiling him.

The court heard that on the material day, the boy had been sent to buy milk by his mother but never returned.

Police said the accused forced the complainant in his room, tied his hands, legs, sealed his mouth and defiled him several times.

The investigators said that the man released the boy after giving him Sh50.

The minor said Mwangi had been defiling him each day he went to buy milk at the shop; before being given money.

Reportedly the minor's mother became suspicious as to where his son used to get money to buy things he had.

He confessed to the mother and told her that Mwangi had threatened to harm him and the whole family if he revealed the act to anyone.

The boy was later taken to the hospital and after treatment, the matter was reported to the police leading to the milkman's arrest.

Mwangi denied the charges before chief magistrate Heston Nyaga and was released on a surety bond of Sh300,000.

The case will be heard on December 5.
