Garissa woman representative Shukran Hassan wants Kenyans to reject the Sh1.5 million laptops being distributed by the Jubilee government.

She said Jubilee is using the project as a campaign tool. Hassan spoke in Garsen during a Wiper rally on Wednesday. She said Jubilee is using the laptops to blindfold residents into voting for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The woman representative said Garissa constituency will reject the laptops.

“We do not want the laptops launched by the Jubilee government. They could be bewitching them to seek reelection,” she said.

Jubilee rolled out the nationwide distribution of laptops for primary school children. During previous campaigns, Jubilee promised free laptops to all schools. The woman MP denied she was offered a ‘brown envelope’ to join the Jubilee Party.
