Chuka Igambang’ombe MP Muthomi Njuki and Chuka University vice chancellor Erastus Njoka have accused Tharaka Nithi speaker John Mbaabu of being behind the Wednesday protests by residents that halted traffic on the Kambandi-Kirubia road.
Residents protested against the poor state of roads and called for immediate tarmacking. Police used tear-gas to disperse demonstrators. Speaking at Kambandi Primary School on Thursday, Njuki and Njoka said protests do not solve crises.Speaker John Mbaabu denied the claims and blamed Njuki for the protest.
