Chancellors could soon be granted more powers under new regulations to govern universities. Education CS Fred Matiang’i (pictured) said the ministry has been working on regulations to reform public university management.
He said he wants VCs’ recruitment to be more inclusive. Matiang’i spoke at the Chancellors Second Roundtable Discussion on Policies, Regulations and Standards for University Education. He said some people hold positions of VC, but lack confidence.
