Siaya county police coordinator Chrispus Mutali has urged residents not to turn against each other during the 2017 elections campaigns.

He said leaders will come and go, but the county will remain, hence the need to maintain peace at all time. Mutali addressed the press at his office on Thursday.

He told residents no one wants to invest in a war-torn county. The police boss said without investors, economic growth will stagnate, leading to high poverty index, despite having a devolved system.

Mutali urged leaders to preach peace, instead of promoting hate among voters. He told them to be tolerant, despite their political differences.
