EU, Kenya to spend Sh451m to conserve forests

The European Union through the Kenya Forest Research Institute is using Sh451 million in rehabilitation of the Mt Elgon and Cherangany catchment towers. In Cherangany, Kemfri is working in Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot and Trans Nzoia counties .

The project that started six months will cover 15 acres. It will take five years.
