Police shot and killed a suspected robber on Monday night in Makongeni area, Nairobi.
A pistol was recovered from the man.
Police say he was in the company of three others and had been attacking and robbing pedestrians when an alarm was raised.
His accomplices managed to escape on foot but are being pursued by police.
