The two said that they are working as 'Team Nairobi' and will join efforts because they understand issues affecting the city residents.

It is speculated that the legislators, together with senator Mike Sonko, may craft an alliance that sees them share the governor, deputy governor and senator seats.

"The common Jubilee 'enemy' is Kidero. So, the focus is on ousting him. But then again, those riding on any endorsement should know such a move will not help them," he added.

They said that their team will decide on a structure that will guide their campaigns in the coming months.

At the moment, they said that they will continue to work as a team and will treat anyone's win as collective.

Sakaja and Waweru made the comments after attending a funeral service at Githima PCEA church in Dagoretti.

Earlier, while on their way to the church, they asked Dagoretti residents to support them in their bid.
