The National Assembly Justice committee wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to form a tribunal to investigate embattled EACC chair Philip Kinisu.

This is after the committee tabled a report in the National Assembly

on Tuesday afternoon citing sufficient grounds to have sacked.

The petitioner, Albert Mokono Ondieki, had asked the Justice and Legal Affairs committee to investigate the EACC chair with the aim of recommending the formation of a tribunal to try him.

Last month, Kinisu

was

interrogated by DCI detectives following claims that a company associated

with him was involved in graft.

He was questioned over Esaki company's alleged involvement in the Sh791 million National Youth Service scandal.

An Ifmis report shows Esaki received Sh246 million from the Devolution ministry in 16 months alone.

The DCI wanted a statement from Kinisu who has been facing pressure to step aside
