Former judiciary registrar Gladys Shollei yesterday sought to have charges against her dismissed.

Through her lawyer, Shollei said the charges in connection with the purchase of a Sh300 million house for the Chief Justice are vague.

“We are aggrieved by the vagueness of the charges she is facing and prejudiced because the charges are in incomprehensible in law,” her lawyer Paul Ngarua said.

Shollei said the prosecution failed to provide details of which provisions of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act she breached.

Ngaarwa said the prosecution has relied on the form rather than the substance of the charges.

Shollei is charged with improperly buying the Sh310 million house from Johnson Nduya Muthama Holdings.
