Alliance director's farewell cocktail

After four years of exemplary service, the Alliance Française in Nairobi bid farewell to its director Hervé Braneyre on Thursday evening.

The well-known cultural centre hosted a cocktail party at its offices which was attended by a large number of students, lecturers, management, friends as well as French Embassy officials.

“Hervé is very welcoming of Kenyan artists from all genres as well as promoting issues of social justice, human rights and development through the arts” said head of cultural affairs, Harsita Waters.

The outgoing director who retires to Bordeaux, France will be replaced by Cédric Taurisson.
