NOCK officials out on Sh200,000 bond

Three Nock officials were released on Monday on a Sh200,000 cash bail each in a case staged by their of team Kenya at the recently concluded Rio Olympic games.

Senior principal magistrate Charity Oluoch, in her ruling, further ordered Stephen Soi, Francis Kanyili and Pius Ochieng persona non grata around Nock offices until the are complete.

This means that the accused should not appear at any of the Nock premises. They were also barred from making contact with any possible witnesses in line with the ongoing investigation.

Their release comes hours after the Director of public prosecution sought that the three officials be detained for 21 days

The DPP said the theft, abuse of office and neglect of duty offences required more time to investigate.

They will also be expected to report to the DCI's serious crimes unit offices twice a week and surrender their passports in court.

The case will be mentioned on 19th

September 2016.
