A police officer was shot and injured during an exchange of fire with suspected thugs in Juja, Kiambu on Friday night.
Two of the suspected thugs were shot dead after a dramatic chase. The injured officer was hit in the thigh and is out of danger.
Police say the incident happened in Juja Farm where the gang had escaped to after a robbery in the town.
In June, police killed two , who attempted to snatch a woman's handbag, on Juja Road near Mathare slum.
They said the bag and other valuables were
recovered.
