Man shot dead, two injured in robbery incidents in Nairobi

A man was shot dead during a robbery targeting an Mpesa shop in Eastleigh, Nairobi on Wednesday night.

The agent was confronted by three men who had posed as customers at the shop located on Third Street.

As the victim engaged them, one of the men drew out his pistol and demanded cash prompting a confrontation.

He was then shot in the chest and died while being rushed to hospital.

The gang grabbed an unknown amount of money before escaping on foot.

In another incident, a suspected gangster was shot and injured at Githurai 44.

The suspect is said to have been part of a gang of three that had been attacking and robbing residents.

Police called by residents who sounded alarm of an attempted robbery shot and injured one of the suspects as the other accomplices escaped.

Another suspect was shot and wounded on Mombasa Road while trying to rob motorists.

He is believed to be the same person who shot and injured a businessman on

Tuesday

night in a robbery.
