The DPP further said that Mugo was interfering with witnesses via his social media posts touching on the ongoing case.

Mugo through his advocate told the court that at one point he was unwell hence could not have attended court sessions.

He presented before court a document from a health center that deals with

maternity and ultra sound services raising eyebrows on the authenticity of the document and his claims.

Mugo had been charged with rape, operating a clinic without valid licences and

Wairimu, whose real name is James Mugo Ndicho had been released on a Ksh 1 million cash bail or a Ksh 5 million bond with a surety of a similar amount.

Nairobi-Milimani law court Chief magistrate Daniel Ogembo directed that Mugo remain in custody till 2nd September 2016 when the ruling will be made.
