Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale’s warning to Cord leader Raila Odinga against imposing candidates for governor is misguided, Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has said.
Yesterday, Oparanya said that he and Khalwale belong to two different political parties which, although in the same coalition, are in competition. “I am not the type to be imposed on the electorate. I have the capacity, time and energy to seek votes from the people of the great county of Kakamega,” he said in statement.
Khalwale, who also wants to be governor, on Saturday told Raila to stop meddling in the county politics.
