The Kaplop community in Baringo Central has protested against efforts by a man to repossess three acres he had donated to Kaplop Primary School, in exchange for five acres in Kapsitwet farm, Kitale.

Laban Lambat gave the land in 1987, but then refused to relocate. Residents want the National Lands Commission to stop him from using what had “turned into public property”. Board chairman Gideon Kandagor yesterday said the school operates on one and a half acres donated by “a good Samaritan” and lacks a playing field and room for expansion.
