a hole in one," Moses Mutothori, CEO Tee At 1000 Golf joked at the launch.

"The golf tournament is set for October at Migaa. It will offer networking opportunities and make it more fun to take up golfing as a prefered sport. We also want to make it such that the participants will enjoy golf without it being an expensive sport."

Kiss FM breakfast co-host Shaffie Weru told Word Is, "Golfing is expensive, I spent Sh400,000 to get a membership into a golf club them spent about Sh80,000 on the golfing equipment. Golf is expensive."

Tee At 1000 Golf aims at making the sport available to creatives. The organisers aim at attracting atleast 1000 people for the October event. However before then they will host a pre-event tournament on September 17 at the Railways Golf Club.

"We want to redefine golfing and introduce it to the celebrities," TVC boss, Maurice Okoth told Word Is , "The tournament will introduce the sport to a number of top personalities who will get memberships to some of the best Kenyan golf clubs and will get to keep fit, bond, do business and have fun while at it."
