Man charged with carjacking Peter Kenneth's wife

A 53-year old man has been charged with robbery with violence in connection to the carjacking of politician Peter Kenneth's wife.

Simon Muthee was accused of committing the offence on August 6 at Kibagare way in Gigiri, with accomplices.

He was also accused of threatening to harm against Kenneth's wife, Ann Wanjiru.

Muthee denied the charges before Milimani chief resident magistrate Daniel Ogembo on Tuesday.

He was remanded until Friday when a ruling on his bail application will be delivered.

The gang said to have had a pistol, attacked Wanjiru and stolen her Sh6 million Land Rover Freelander.

The vehicle was later found in

Amagoro, Busia county.
