The Second Annual Tharaka Cultural Festival was held at the Meru National Park Ura Gate from Thursday, August 18 and came to an end on Saturday.
Tourism CS Najib Balala commissioned the event attended by Clerk of National Assembly Justin Bundi, NCIC chair Francis Ole Kaparo, and Senate Speaker Ekwe Ethuro.
The three-day event event showcases cultural aspects of Tharaka people including food, clothing and other cultural practices like hunting, basket making, traditional songs and dance.
Tharaka Nithi leaders present included Governor Samuel Ragwa, Senator Kithure Kindiki and Chuka Igambang’ombe MP Muthomi Njuki.
