A satirical exhibition on the aid world and its fascination for Kibera opened at the Circle Art Gallery along James Gichuru road, Lavington last week.

“The MoXibition”

was a collaboration between artists Kevo Stero (Irungu) and Sam Hopkins. The former’s installation highlights the jobless situation of people in Kibera to promote community social understanding. Hopkins on the other hand, looks at the logos of non-profit organisations working in Kenya (some imaginary) over the past six years.

The non-revealing of which is true or fake, introduces an element of doubt, to create a temporary sense of limbo and encourage viewers to reassess all the logos and hopefully reach their own conclusion.

The exhibition comes to a close tomorrow.
