State House Comptroller Lawrence Lenayapa has been summoned to testify in a case against Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter and his nominated counterpart Sonia Birdi.

The High Court on Tuesday granted the DPP's application to issue the summons.

They allegedly incited George Omboro the manager of the weigh-bridge to illegally release a trailer that had been impounded for breaking the law.

Keter faces another charge of creating disturbance on January 24, 2015 at the Gilgil weighbridge.

The charge sheet stated that the legislator used unprintable words while demanding the release of the trailer, registration number KHMA 005A.

Keter allegedly also said: “When the president calls my friend you have to respect whatever who you are. You know my worry is let me tell you the truth, we are the government, State House Comptroller anawapigia simu no one picks.”
