One pupil died on Wednesday and seven were injured after their school bus overturned on Lang'ata road.
The victims were among 64 passengers aboard the Meru's Victorian Academy bus headed to Bomas of Kenya for the ongoing 90th edition of the Kenya National Music Festival.
The bus was a 51-seater vehicle.
The seven who sustained serious injuries were taken to
Kenyatta National Hospital after the accident.
Simon Ithai, hospital head of corporate affairs, said some of the students had suffered from shock and were being attended to.
