The Kenya National Highways Authority yesterday said modernisation of Athi River Weighbridge will be completed this month.

Kenha engineer in charge of the project Moses Orwa said the overall progress achieved about 85 per cent. The project involves upgrading existing weighbridge and building a new one for Nairobi-bound traffic.

“Roofing for the Mombasa-bound control room, interior plumbing and installation of windows in the ablution blocks are complete,” Orwa said. He said major pending works are the electromechanical fittings.
