Airtel is offering new subscribers free Sh30 airtime, 30MB of data, in a bid to drive up client numbers.
The company which ranks a distant second in customer base with 7.2 million subscribers compared to giant Safaricom with 24.4 million customers as at December 2015, said the new offer, Karibu Package, is valid for the first month of use of a new Airetl SIM card.
“This is our way of welcoming you home to our superior quality network with a great range of value propositions including Airtel UnlimiNet voice and data packages, and Airtel Money for sending and receiving money and paying for bills in a convenient and affordable way,"
