Police boss in Uhuru's Gatundu area dies

The ‎ CID boss at President Uhuru Kenyatta's rural home was pronounced dead on Friday morning.

Jones Bore was admitted at Mediheal hospital in Eldoret for two days after complaining of chest pains.

Bore, who colleagues mourned as a dedicated and fearless officer, was among officers involved in the 2014 tracking of MRC renegades in Kwale, Mombasa.

At the time, he survived death by a whisker when a police boat capsized in the Indian ocean.

He was also involved in the hunt for terrorists in Boni Forest last year.

Prior to his‎ posting as Gatundu CID boss, Bore headed the flying squad police in Kyumvi.
