MPs ask KPA to hire people before they approve loan

Cord MPs from Mombasa have threatened to block the Kenya Ports Authority from getting Sh27.8 billion loan from the national government if it will not employ their people.

KPA has said it is under strict instructions not to employ anyone.

The MPs are Abdulswamad Nassir (Mvita), Hezron Awiti (Nyali), Omar Mwinyi (Changamwe), Rashid Bedzimba (Kisauni).
