The Jubilee government is working to bring down the East African Community, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said.

He said President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration must stop using Kenya’s domestic affairs to undermine regional integration and to "camouflage its frustrations and inadequacies in regional diplomacy."

On Monday, government spokesman Eric Kiraithe said the state has intelligence that there are some individuals within the country "working with two neighbouring countries to subvert the government, create

instability,

lawlessness

and strife".

Kalonzo said the sensational claims that two neighbouring countries are working with unnamed local politicians to bring chaos is part of a bigger plot to crumble the EAC.

"If what the government spokesman has said is anything to go by, then the Jubilee government is working to destabilise the EAC because “two neighbouring states” can only mean East-African-States," Kalonzo said in a statement from Beijing, China.

"Anybody who collaborates with an enemy of Kenya is also an enemy of Kenya and will be met with swift, full and unmitigated wrath of the law," Kiraithe said at a Press conference in Nairobi on

Monday.

Kalonzo who is also a Cord co-principal said Jubilee had also demonstrated lack of commitment to regional integration by scrapping the former ministry of East African Community.

"It is not lost on Kenyans and indeed East Africans that the important ministry of EAC affairs is now practically a department of the Ministry of Labor, while Uganda for instance, has the Deputy Prime Minister designated as the focal minister for East African Affairs," he said.

Kalonzo who has been a long-serving diplomat said he and many other regional leaders have worked tirelessly to ensure the EAC dream is realised by correcting mistakes that led to its collapse in 1977.

"East Africans have worked hard at regional integration at the level of EAC, which the Jubilee government is now actively trying to undermine," he added.

Rather than hiding under cover of State Security, Jubilee should now clearly state that they are not interested in national dialogue to resolve the IEBC crisis, Kalonzo said.

Starehe MP claimed on Sunday that Cord leader Raila Odinga is working with Tanzania President John Maghufuli and his South Sudan counterpart Salva Kiir to destabilise Kenya.
