Residents of Jarajila have welcomed the announcement of the carving of a new district from the vast Fafi district. On Thursday residents held celebrations, saying this will bring services closer to them.
They said they are forced to travel all the way to Bura East, the Fafi district headquarters, which is 300km away for crucial services.
