Police officers who shot protesters dead in Siaya during Monday’s demonstration have been transferred. Sources say they were moved after residents and relatives of the deceased threatened to take revenge.
Siaya police commander Beatrice Gachagwa said police used live bullets after they ran out of blank bullets and teargas.
