Mucheru also said some use social media websites such Facebook and Twitter, while others use their businesses website and mobile phone social app popularly known as Whatsapp.

He was speaking at Limuru town on Wednesday when he visited the pilot incubation project to inspect it and check its strength, so as the government can plan how to role it to other major towns and cities in the country.

“We are testing and checking the strength to know if the project will be viable. We plan to reduce the cost of data bundles people purchase every day,” Mucheru said.

The CS said once the ministry has completed research and established the impact the project will have on traders, the government will be ready to launch it.

Limuru MP John Kiragu, who accompanied Mucheru, applauded the government for coming up with the initiative.

Kiragu said upcoming musicians and other artists will be able to network easily.
