Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has asked his rivals to stop early campaigns and let his administration complete its work.

He said the rivals should wait for the 2022 elections because he “deserves” a second term next year.

“We are doing our work effectively and those who want to contest should wait because there is no vacancy next year.

They can try in 2022,” Mandago said.

He said residents should not experiment with new leaders because his administration has shown its ability to deliver on all its pledges. The governor said the Jubilee administration has performed beyond expectations and Kenyans should re-elect the leaders who have done their work well.

“In every part of our county, residents can feel the impact of devolution and it’s because we are working to ensure we deliver on our mandate,” he said.

Mandago was speaking at Cheramei AIC Church in Turbo constituency on Sunday.
