A woman has died and her four children buried alive after a mud slide in the border of Nandi and
Kakamega county on Saturday morning.
"The body of the woman was retrieved but the four children were still trapped", a
witness
told the Star.
Residents said the five were asleep when the incident occurred at 1am due to the
heavy downpour in the region.
Rescue operations conducted by Kenya Red Cross and the police are ongoing.
