Hollywood blockbuster X-Men: Apocalypse premieres in Nairobi

The 2016 American superhero film, X-Men: Apocalypse, premiered in Nairobi on Thursday.

The intimate affair, sponsored by leading energy drink brand Red Bull, went down at the Junction's Century Cinemax along Ngong Road.

The ninth installment in the X-Men film series, the movie is directed by Bryan Singer, with a screenplay by Simon Kinberg from a story conceived by Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.

It features an ensemble cast starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till.
