South African singer-songwriter Pilani Bubu is on her way to Nairobi for a performance.

Next week, the Miss Understood hit singer will be the star attraction at the Choice Bar's Thursday Night Live.

This makes it her first ever performance in Kenya.

Pilani, also a creative lifestyle activist, released her First EP titled Journey Of A Heart and produced by RJ Benjamin in 2012.

Her live repertoire includes the recently launched Album Journey Of A Heart Part II: Warrior of Light, with band renditions from her first EP, poetic interludes and jazzy interpretations of folk music.

In her debut years, Pilani has graced the stages of the Drum Beat Festival, Grahamstown National Arts Festival, Fete De La Musique and The Orbit Jazz Home of Jazz .

Others are Jazz in The Park (New Orleans, Lagos), Women Rising Concert and Winnies Soul & Jazz.

Her music has evolved into a unique fusion of jazz, blues, folk and funk.

She recently made Top100 on Voice SA.

Pilani has a degree in Bcomm: Law, Marketing & Business Management from University Of Pretoria, with a certificate in Marketing Research Principles from Georgia University.
