A 60 year-old pastor was sentenced to life on Wednesday by a Makadara court for defiling and impregnating his 16 year-old daughter.
Principal magistrate Eveline Olwande convicted Peter Wambua after finding him guilty of the offence committed at Njiru in 2012.
He was also found guilty of indecently touching his daughter without her consent.
The magistrate said, in her judgement, that the prosecution proved without doubt that the suspect had committed the offence.
Prosecution counsel Carol Chepkonga told the court that the minor testified how her father had confronted her and told her that he had a dream she had been sleeping with another man.
The pastor wanted to prove she was still a virgin by sleeping with her.
The minor told the court that after failing to convince her father that she was still a virgin, he forcefully committed the act when her mother was not at home.
She narrated led because she was a virgin.
"My father made it a routine and defiled me more than 20 times without protection until I got pregnant," she told the court.
The prosecution said that after Wambua discovered his daughter was pregnant, he threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter to anyone.
The minor later lost her pregnancy and a medical report was shown in court to prove the claim.
Olwande however said that in as much as the police did not bring a P3 form and also did not appear to testify in court, she considered the testimony of the minor's mother.
The magistrate,after studying additional evidence presented in the case, said she believed the suspect was not framed.
In his defence, he however said the case was not properly investigated as the officer did not appear to testify.
